Haryana Vigilance Bureau caught Audit Officer, Cooperative Societies,accepting bribe of Rs.5000

Chandigarh 10th July:--Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Jugesh Devi, Audit Officer, Cooperative Societies, Rohtak red handedly while accepting bribe of Rs.5000 from Ram Niwas, Inspector, Cooperative Societies, Rai in lieu of giving him permission for higher studies.

          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that Ram Niwas had lodged a complaint at Bureau office, Rohtak that he had sought permission for higher studies. He was absent from duty on June 17 and 18. Jugesh Devi, Audit Officer is demanding money to show his absent as on-duty and for processing his case of giving permission for higher studies. Acting swiftly on complaint, the Bureau team registered a case under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act in Bureau's Police Station at Rohtak and caught her red handed while raid.

          He said that Director General of Police, State Vigilance Bureau had issued stern directions that corrupt officials would not be spared. He said that any complaint concerning corruption could be registered on Toll Free No 18001802022. The complaints could also be registered on mobile number 97299-90006 of Superintendent of Police, State Vigilance Bureau, Rohtak Division Sibas Kabiraaj or at mobile number 9050910570 of Deputy Superintendent of Police, State Vigilance Bureau, Rohtak
