Mohali 16th June:-- Punjab Unaided Technical Institutes Association (PUTIA) was hold a meeting under the chairmanship of Dr JS Dhaliwal. This meeting was attended by the chairmen of different colleges, including Mr Manjeet Singh of Doaba Group, Dr Zora Singh of Desh Bhagat Group, Mr Gurvinder Bahra of Rayat Bahra Group, Dr Anshu Kataria of Aryans Group,and Mr Sukhdev Singla of Indo Global College.
Prior to this, a meeting was held between the officials of Punjab Government, PTU and members of PUTIA. In this meeting the Punjab government authorities had assured PUTIA members that Punjab government would release the balance 190 crores of last 3 years of Post Metric Scheme in next months. The members of PUTIA have been happy after this decision of the government.
Expressing his reaction to this decision of Punjab government, Dr Dhaliwal remarked that PUTIA group heartily welcomes this decision of Punjab government. He said that this decision of Punjab government has again shown a ray of hope to the technical education institutions.
PUTIA also welcomed the steps of Punjab Govt. in which Punjab Govt. directed DTE(Directorate of Technical Education) and PSBTE(Punjab State Board of Technical Education) to declare result of Polytechnic Diploma by 30thJune so that Polytechnic diploma students can take admission in B.Tech Leet in same year. PUTIA also welcomed the decision of Punjab Govt. to decentralize the system of revaluation of Answer sheets.Earlier the Revaluation of the answer sheets was centralized and was being done in Chandigarh only but now it will be done at district level.
