Rotary Club Chandigarh Uptown Organizes RYLA 2024 to Inspire Future Leaders

Mohali, Dec.18, 2024:--Rotary Club Chandigarh Uptown organized a one-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program at Shemrock School, Sector 69, Mohali. The event brought together 195 students from 12 schools across the tricity, all of whom are members of Interact Clubs under various Rotary Clubs of Chandigarh.

The event began with a warm welcome by Rtn. Vijay Kumar Dhall, President of Rotary Club Chandigarh Uptown, who greeted the esteemed guests and young participants. He encouraged the students to take full advantage of the program and its enriching sessions. Rtn. Mahesh Arora, Project Chairman, elaborated on the day's program, which was meticulously designed to foster leadership qualities, networking opportunities, and communication skills.

Rtn. Dr. Sanjay Kalra, District Chair RYLA, emphasized the importance of RYLA in shaping future leaders by instilling confidence, vision, and values. He highlighted how such initiatives by Rotary International provide a platform for youth to develop essential skills for personal and professional growth.

The students also showcased their talents through cultural performances, including Gidda, Bhangra, and a Nukkad Natak on pressing social issues like women empowerment and drug abuse, adding vibrancy to the event.

Chief Guest Prof. R.K. Kohli inspired the audience with his motivational address, emphasizing the importance of leadership and personal growth. A.S. Bajwa, Trustee Chairman of Shemrock School, extended his blessings and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants.

The event was graced by dignitaries from various Rotary Clubs, further adding to its significance. Rotary Club Chandigarh Uptown remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering the youth and fostering leadership through meaningful initiatives like RYLA.
