Chandigarh May 09 2020:-On 7th day of the Mata Jarnail Kaur sanitizers and masks distribution drive, Police Station Amloh , Civil Surgeon Office Fatehgarh Sahib and Municipal Committee Amloh were covered by Desh Bhagat University.
Under the drive total 5800 sanitizers and masks have been distributed till date in the areas of Amloh , Mandi Gobindgarh, Bhadson and Fatehgarh Sahib .The Herbal (Neem based) Sanitizers were manufactured by Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic Pharmacy.
Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur Pro Chancellor of the university, while remembering their loving mother, thanked all those who extended their support, for making this act of social service a success. He added that due to the unprecedented demand and urgent need for hand sanitizers and masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, this small contribution will be helpful to the community.
In her pious memory, Mata Jarnail Kaur scholarship scheme worth Rs 11 crores was also announced for deserving candidates by Desh Bhagat University on day one of the drive.
