Chandigarh 06th August:- Haryana Government in collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO) will explore the possibilities of building a suitable model for achieving Universal Health Coverage in the state with an aim to provide health coverage at affordable cost to all.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Health Department said that a Memorandum of Understanding would be signed with the WHO for achieving Universal Health Coverage. This would further provide health care facilities to each and every segments of the society in all regions at an affordable cost. He further said that for achieving Universal health Coverage, it is important to assess data of actual expenditure being made both in public and private sector including the citizens for defining the road map for it. WHO has the experience of working in many developing countries will provide the technical expertise not only to collect data but for building a suitable model involving public and private health institutions for achieving Universal Health Coverage at an affordable cost.
