Mohali, Nov.07, 2025:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Phase 2 organized a Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp on its campus as part of its social outreach efforts. The primary objective of the camp was to promote early detection and raise awareness among women from the villages adopted by Gyan Jyoti under the Government of India's Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, as well as from nearby areas.
For this crucial initiative, specialized Mammography Vans were arranged at the Gain Jyoti campus for on-site testing. To ensure maximum community participation, college buses were deployed to the adopted villages to provide easy transportation for the women coming for screening. A total of 79 women were screened during the camp. Doctors and healthcare professionals provided detailed guidance on the critical role of self-examination, prevention, and early diagnosis.
J.S. Bedi, Chairman of Gain Jyoti Group of Institutions, lauded the efforts of the medical team, coordinators, and community partners, emphasizing the commitment to encouraging more such health-focused interventions in the future. Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of GJIMT stated that Awareness and accessibility are the first steps toward saving lives. GJIMT is committed to supporting women's health and ensuring that preventive care reaches every household.
