Vigorous Tabla beats Captivate City Audience in 310th Monthly Baithak Programme of Pracheen Kala Kendra

Chandigarh, August 11, 2025:-The music lovers of city beautiful were treated to a amazing Musical delight by eminent Tabla player from Delhi, Rahul Mishra on the occasion of the 310th  Monthly Baithak Programme organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra here today at  M.L. Koser  Indoor Auditorium at 6:30 pm onwards. Rahul kept the audience spellbound by the pure and spotless beauty of his musical skills.
Hails from the Banaras Gharana gifted with exceptional musical skills, Young and talented Tabla player and a music composer Rahul started learning Tabla at the early age of five as he took his lessons from his father.
He comes from the family of living legends and is the son of Tabla Maestro Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra, the Grandson of Legendary Vocalist Padma Vibhushan Pt. Chhannulal Mishra, the Great Grandson of Tabla Samrat Late Pt. Anokhelal Mishra. This family has never failed to astonish its audiences with their complete surrender to music for centuries. He has performed solo and has accompanied many  living legends  like Pt. Chhannu Lal Mishra, Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma and Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt  all over the globe.
He has also performed Tabla Duet with his father at Pracheen Kala Kendra's 49th All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya and Sangeet Sammelan in 2019 and at 11th Quarterly Baithak in Delhi in 2018.
Rahul commenced his programme with traditional Uthan followed Peshkar  based on  teen tal  of  Banaras Gharana . Then he moved on to present  Kayda, Rela, Palta, tode   etc  before technical part consist of  gats, Chakradar and farmaishi chakradar amidst applause. He concluded his recital with crisp traditional bandishes of his Gharana.  He is ably accompanied by   another talented artist and harmonium exponent from New Delhi Lalit Sisodia  on harmonium.
Secretary Sajal Koser, Secretary honored the artists with scroll of PKK and Memento. His legendary father Pandit Ram Kumar Mishra was also present on the occasion.
