Chandigarh, 13 April 2025:- Kalibari Chandigarh witnessed a deeply spiritual and historic moment with the Pran Pratistha (Installation and Consecration) of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna, the divine child of Mother Kali. Organized under the aegis of the Ramakrishna Mission, this sacred ceremony marked a new and divine chapter in Kalibari's spiritual journey that began in 1970.
The event also featured a dance drama "Siddhartha to Buddha – The Divine Leela of Sri Ramakrishna", an artistic presentation that drew profound parallels between the spiritual journeys of Gautam Buddha and Sri Ramakrishna which highlighted their shared path of enlightenment and compassion.
The festivities will continue on Monday with a Bhakti Sammelan to celebrate the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vivekananda through devotional music and insightful discourses by monks, scholars and devotees. A Hindi drama depicting the spiritual impact of Sri Ramakrishna will also be performed during the occasion.
The pran pratishtha was led by Revered Swami Shantatmananda ji (RKM, Gurgaon) and Swami Sukhananda ji (RKM, Bhuj) in the presence of the executive body of Kalibari Chandigarh and a large gathering of Bengali devotees and spiritual seekers from across the region.
The day's proceedings commenced at dawn with a soulful Prabhat Feri (devotional procession), followed by the lighting of ceremonial lamps and the chanting of Vedic hymns, creating a sanctified atmosphere. The occasion was epitomised with the presence of Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj of Belur Math.who gave divine blessings to the gathering. Devotees participated wholeheartedly in the Bhog, Arati, Homa, and Puja ceremonies throughout the day, accompanied by devotional songs (Bhaktigeeti) and a community feast (Langar).
