Chandigarh, October 09, 2021:- Ghazal aficionados of City Beautiful were treated to a soulful performance by city based noted Ghazal singer Ranbir Kumar in a special evening of ghazals organized by the Pracheen Kala Kendra to remember famous Urdu Poet Nida Fazli on his Birth anniversary and Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh on his death anniversary . The programme held at M.L. Koser Indoor Auditorium , sector 35 complex of the Kendra . Ranbir Kumar has been designated as a successful and most popular Ghazal singer, Music Director and Music Composer. Veteran Art Critic Sh SD Sharma was the Chief Guest of this event.
Besides being gifted with a rich and resonating voice, Ranbir is well groomed and it reflects in his performances. He began his recital with famous ghazal "Kuch na kuch to jarur" and " hosh walo ko khabar kya " followed by medley of soulful ghazals like Hontho se chhu lo tum, tum itna jo , tumko dekha to , kiya hai pyar jise humne well received by the audience.
Ranbir then moved on to present other compositions like "gum sum sa ye jahan hai , chithi na koi sandesh , koi hindu koi muslim koi, ye daulat bhi le lo, apko dekh kar dekhta reh gaya enthralled the audiences amid wah-wah.
Then he presented a ghazal from his new album Izhaar and Punjabi song maye ni maye. He concluded his programme with famous folk tappe
Ranbir kumar was accompanied by fine team of accompanists Rajinder Singh (Music Coordinator ), Sarabjeet Singh Shibu on Tabla, Goldy Singh on Guitar, Rakesh Jasotra on Flute and Jaimal Singh on Dholak. Kendra Registrar Secretary Sh. Sajal Koser along with Chief Guest honored the artists.
