Chandigarh August 20, 2021:- The NSS units of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh celebrated Sadbhavana Diwas to mark the observance of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi. Keeping in mind the theme of 'Sadbhavana' to promote national integration, communal harmony and goodwill among Indian citizens, the NSS units held a Sadbhavana Pledge ceremony wherein 78 NSS volunteers pledged to encourage goodwill, national integration, communal harmony, peace and affection among the people of India irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava asserted that being the youngest Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi had a modernistic approach wherein he stressed upon realising the dream of a strong, independent India. She added that as a mark of true respect for his contributions, we must work for emotional oneness and harmony of all Indians.
