Students Exhibits Scientific Models

Chandigarh 24th October:- Maharishi Dayanand Public School Daria, Chandigarh in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology Chandigarh Administration organized a Scientific Models Exhibition. It was inaugurated by Secretary of D.A.V. College Managing Committee New Delhi, Ravinder Talwar. Surpanch Gurpreet Singh Happy was the special guest on this occasion. They examined and appreciated the models prepared by the scouts and guides to popularized science and technology.

Model prepared by Ankush and Chetan conveyed the idea that the environment could be kept clean with the use of science. They also expressed that renewable energy had favorable effect on natural resources. Deepika and Muskan, through their model expressed the danger of smoke coming out of factories and vehicles which is harmful for the living beings. It would be essential to use modern techniques to save the environment from the pollution. Rohit and Ayush exhibited the utility of solar light in houses, street and on roads.  Akash and Anand through their model of windmill emphasized on increasing the capacity of solar energy. They conveyed the fact that due to increasing global warming glaciers are melting which might ultimately lead to emersion of earth in water. Aarti, Archna and Sunny gave the message of improving the transport system. Luvkush and Mohit presented the seasonal variation. Other students conveyed useful ideas about converting the waste into the best, disposable of garbage, study of flowers and the human body system through their models. Students of junior category and senior category were also awarded for displaying best models.
Dr. Vinod Kumar, Principal of the school said that the main idea of arranging the exhibition was to create awareness about the increasing popularity of science.
