Chandigarh 26th July:- Acting is not as glamorous as it may seem. It calls for portraying a character with conviction, amidst challenging situations and making it look believable. One actor who decided to go that extra mile for his very entry scene in ZEE TV's primetime drama Meri Saasu Maa is the charming actor Siddharth Arora who has recently entered the show as Bunty. He is a local swindler, good looking yet uncouth and struts around with truck loads of attitude and swagger. For his introductory sequence, he is shown to cross Pari's (played by Hiba nawab) path and messes around with her. Pari gets miffed with him and in a fit of rage slaps Bunty. Well it turned out that Pari slapped him not once or twice but fourteen times to get it right.
Talking about the scene, Siddharth shared that he believes that acting is behaving realistically and naturally under imaginary circumstances. It was his entry sequence on the show and he wanted to give his best. When you fake it, it is pretty evident on screen. It was the first day of shoot and Hiba and he met for the first time. He added that she is a very sweet spoken and demure girl and when he asked her to actually slap me for the scene; she was taken aback and quite hesitant. We did a couple of takes but Hiba was too hesitant to hit him with all her might and he wasn't happy with the outcome. He asked Hiba to shed her inhibitions and actually slap him. So after 13 re-takes we finally got it right in the fourteenth. The slap actually left him red faced and gave us what the scene really required. He look forward to a great audience response to his portrayal of Bunty on the show.
On the show, we currently see that Pari is distraught with Sattu's sudden death and is totally disillusioned about what future has in store for her. In a chance encounter, Pari crosses paths with Bunty and is totally miffed with him and his attitude. But will his entry bring about a change in Pari's life?
