Chandigarh 15th June:- The Traders of Chandigarh Traders Association held an Executive Body Meeting today under the Presidentship of Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, to apprise the Traders Brothers the existing law on employment of Child in Establishments as well as in Houses. The Traders were informed that Child Labour, where ever employed, should not be less than 14 years of age as it calls for several punishment of 3 Years Jail PLUS fine of Rs.50,000.00 in first attempt of violation of this Act.
This meeting was prompted after a successful meet held by Balbir Singh Distt and Session Judge-cum- Chairman DLSA, Amarinder Sharma Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary DLSA, Prof. Devi Sirohi, Chairperson CCPCR. Our President Kamaljit Singh Panchhi and members of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal attended the meeting where Chairman DLSA honoured Chandigarh Beopar Mandal's dignatories and also designated them as THE BRAND AMBASSADORS OF THIS COMPAIGN.
Feeling encouraged by this genuine Gesture of DLSA, the Members of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 pledged to implement this Law in right earnest and guide Traders to be responsive to this Act and help society. LET THERE BE A SLOGAN TO 'SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR' AND "THE CHANDIGARH BE CHILD LABOUR FREE CITY"
The Meeting was attended by Mandeep Singh, LC Arora, PK Grover, HS Monga, PN Uppal, Gurmit Singh, Sandeep Grover, Jodh Singh, Arvind Pandey, Naurang Saini, Harish Kumar, Tejinder Grover, Sunil Kupoor, Raman Mahajan and others.
