Chandigarh 20th February:- Handsome hunk Manoj Chandila who has played a variety of characters over the years is all geared up to play a negative character in Zee TV's Sarojini,Manoj will be seen playing the intense character of Komal Singh, the elder brother of Somendra's look-alike, Munna (Mohit Sehgal). A complete departure from the previous characters he has played so far, his role is quite unlike of the typical antagonist on television. His character will be a man of few words, an intense personality and has to convey his emotion mainly through his eyes.
If Munna & Tadka Bua's (Alka Kaushal) menacing ways have posed hurdles for Sarojini (Shiny Doshi), then Manoj's entry will only increase the challenges in her path. Manoj has only cultivated one aim in all his life and that is to destroy Dushyant singh & his family. To bring out his intense, brooding persona, the brawny actor will use his deep baritone and controlled body language to advantage. Interestingly, the actor says he has taken a little reference from Amitabh Bachchan's character from the movie Sarkar Raj.
Excited about his new character, Manoj shared that he is extremely kicked about his new role as it has shades of grey. It's not that of an ordinary villain. He may come across as a man of few words but he's a very deadly planner as he is a man on a mission. It is a foregoing assumption that a negative character will be over-the-top but for this role I was instructed just to express through my eyes which makes it quite a challenging task. He took references from Amitabh Bachchan's dark, intense character of a don from Sarkar Raj as even he didn't speak much but still his personality was impactful. He hope the viewers like his efforts.
