Chandigarh 14th December:- A State level Energy Conservation Day was celebrated today at Shivalik Public School, Phase-VI, Mohali and Honorable Er. K.L. Sharma, Director (Distribution), P.S.P.C.L. was Chief Guest and Er. Blour Singh, Director, Punjab Energy Development Agency was guest of honor. Er. H.S. Boparai, Dy. Chief Engineer, Operation Circle, Pb. State Power Corp. Ltd., Mohali was Nodal Officer of the function.
More than 1000 students from various schools of Mohali participated in various competitions such as poetry, painting, slogan writing, declamation, projects and skit with theme on energy conservation. On this occasion various companies put up their stalls and displayed different energy saving gadgets. Er. K.S. Khera,Chief Engineer, Er. Harmesh Pal Gupta,Chief Engineer, Er. Jarnail Singh,Chief Engineer, Er. M.S. Brar,Chief Engineer, Er. B.P.S. Khurana,Deputy Chief Engineer,DSM and D.S. Bedi,Director, Shivalik Public School were also present. President of Mohali Industry Association Sanjeev Vashisht also participated in this function. Er. Balour Singh, Director, Punjab Energy Development Agency addressed the function and gave mementos to the students who participated in various competitions. Also Er. K.L. Sharma, Director/Distribution addressed the audience and gave lecture on energy conservation.
At the end of the function Er. K.S. Khera, Chief Engineer,Operation(South), Patiala thanked all the participants who attended the function and honored Er. K.L. Sharma, Director,Distribution, P.S.P.C.L.
