AIHM Celebrates its Silver Jubilee

Chandigarh 12^th December:- Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Sector 42-D Chandigarh, celebrated its Silver Jubilee, where the Principal along with faculty, staff, alumni and students shared the vivid moments of its sensational and challenging voyage of splendid 25 years. The day was filled with multi-emotions, happy and nostalgic, as this gave them the occasion to recall their college days and cheer the delightful memories of the past.

The event was graced by the presence of the honorable Chief guest Vijay Kumar Dev, Advisor to Administrator and Anurag Aggarwal, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration and Chairman of the Institute as Guest of Honor.

The function was organized on the theme 'BLUE AND SILVER' where the fusion of these two colors blended together as pieces in a puzzle that gave the environment grandeur feel.

To mark the 25^th Anniversary Year, balloon releasing ceremony was held followed by lamp lighting .Then, there came a moment of zeal and high-spiritedness when everyone in the auditorium came together and echoed the AIHM Anthem which was launched today. A documentary movie which show cased the memory lane of the institute captured the hearts of everyone. On this grand event, Mrs Bharti Tyagi, Principal along with two team members were felicitated for their unstinted and sincere efforts in rendering 25 yrs of glorious services for the growth and development of the Institute . Diverse cultural events such as Dance and Music performances were showcased on the occasion which were enjoyed and appreciated.

Mrs. Bharti Tyagi, the Principal on the occasion said that she thanks almighty for giving her the opportunity to be a part of its success journey from the very beginning and giving her  the courage, optimism and initiatives to steer the institute along with her team members to be one of the premier hospitality institute in the country. She feels proud to share that the Institute has earned considerable appreciation for providing value based education and has received innumerable awards, laurels and accolades from Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, Chandigarh Administration, Academia and Industry.

Several workshops, seminars and competitions were organized throughout the year to mark the Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Eminent personnel, intellectual and entrepreneurs from the field of tourism and hospitality came to share their vision and their views with the future hospitality leaders.

Mrs. Puneeta Singh, one of the alumni said that it feels so longing to come back to our institute, seeing it achieve such great heights, gives us so much happiness. Indeed, we are a proud part of this institute.
