Chandigarh 18th December:- A pre-Christmas Celebration programme was organized by the students of Aanchal International School,sector 41, Chandigarh at school premises today. An impressive cultural program was put up by the students.
The program began with the welcome speech followed by a Christmas carol. On the occasion a fancy dress competition was organized for Junior Aanchalities wherein students came dressed up as various characters of Christmas: Fairies, Santa Claus and Mother Mary Jesus Christ etc. The talent show by children won hearts of the audience. A quiz on Christmas was also organized on the occasion. Senior Students took part in the Christmas Decorations and centre of attraction was centre of attraction was their bedecked Christmas tree; in fact entire school and classrooms were decorated in the Christmas colours. A huge Christmas tree was decorated by the students. Students also spoke on the life and teachings of Lord Jesus Christ.
The students gave a benevolent touch to the entire celebration by sharing their joy with under-privileged children of neighbouring areas. In the culmination of the celebrations Santa Claus in his beautifully decorated Sledge with white horses gave joy ride to the children, who were taken to various nearby markets and distributed sweets among the people. They also went around in the residential areas around the school wishing merry Christmas to the elderly people there. Children enjoyed the ride and had lot of fun.
Principal of the school, Manju Sood, wished children a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
