Chandigarh 16th October:- Chandigarh Police achieved a major success with the arrest of accused Mrs. Geeta resident of Madhav Colony, Vill-Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh ,in a murder case of PS-11, Chandigarh.
The brief facts of the case are that the said case has been registered on the statement of Shakuntla (55) W/o Late. Mahavir Singh R/o VPO- Chulkana, Distt-Panipat, Haryana and presently residing in Madhav Colony, Vill-Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh alongwith her two sons Satish and Bunty. Her son Satish (35) was married with Geeta (29) and have four children's. She further stated that her son Satish is a drunkard. Due to this, the quarrel usually happened between her son and her daughter-in-law. On 12.10.15 at around 10/11 AM her son Satish came to home in drunken condition and started abusing her wife. Due to his rude behaviour his wife got angry and she went inside the room and brought a light pink piece of duppata (chunni) from the room and put it into the neck of her husband and pushed him inside the room, when complainant gone inside the room to leave him then she saw that her daughter-in-law was sitting on his chest and tied his neck with the chunni. On this, her son Satish got unconscious and complainant also got unconscious on seeing the said scene. Later on, on the same day at around 8-9 PM, when she woke up then she made inquired about her son. On this, her daughter-in-law told that till 7 PM Satish was under the influence of liquor and narrating own self but recently he had died. On this, she ran toward the room and saw that her son Satish was lying on the floor, She further alleged that her daughter-in-law had murdered her son by tied the neck of her son with her chunni. On this, a Case FIR No. 418 dt. 15.10.15 u/s 302 IPC PS-11, Chandigarh was registered.
During the course of investigation on 16.10.15 alleged lady Geeta has been arrested and recovered piece of duppata (chunni) which was used in the crime. Today she is being produced before the court.
