Chandigarh 09th October:- Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Chandigarh Police under the guidance of A.S Cheema, IPS, DIG Chandigarh and supervision of Smt. Kamla Meena, DSP/W&CSU, has launched an Operation called "Operation Muskan" on 19.11.2014 and by the direction of M.H.A., New Delhi, a special drive was launched in the month of January 2015. During this drive, 16 teams were constituted and detailed to the different States. During the drive, 50 children have been traced out. The following officials who were the top performers, done commendable job during this drive and their names were recommended to the MHA for awarding suitable rewards. On 07.10.15, National Conference on Human Trafficking was conducted at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi where Hon'ble Home Minister of India awarded commendation certificates to Insp. Karam Chand, SI Ajit Singh, HC Rakesh Kumar, HC Laxay Kumar and HC Pardeep Kumar. On 9.10.15 these Police Officials are also appreciated by advisor to Administrator Vijay Dev to UT, Chandigarh.
