Public Health Holds Massive Dharna:Demands Immediate Revocation of Suspension order of Rajinder Katoch

Chandigarh 15^th July:- A massive Dharna was held here before the office of Executive Engineer MC Public Health Division No.3, Sector- 37, Chandigarh, On the call given by the CMC Public Health workers union Chandigarh.. The Dharna was held against the Trade Union Victimization and demanding immediate Revocation of Suspension order of Rajinder Katoch, General Secretary, Union & Co-Convener of Coordination Committee of Govt. & MC Employees & workers Chandigarh. The Dharna was addressed by Shamsher Singh, Amrik Singh, Manmohan Singh, Chain Singh, Avtar Singh, Sikander Sharma, Jaspal Singh & others Union Leaders besides Raghbir Chand Convener Coordination Committee, Gopal Datt Joshi General Secretary Federation, Rajiv Sahgal (Employees Forum), Kuldip Singh (CITU), Bhim Sen, Baljinder Kumar, Bish Ram, P-Kamraj, Rekha Sharma, Kaoushlya Devi, Desh Raj, Vijay Singh,  Jaipal & others leaders of the sister organizations.

The speakers while addressing the Dharna strongly condemned the repressive attitude of the authorities and term it the alliance of corrupt politics, officers involve  in the acts of omission & commission and some vested interests running business in the name of trade unions. The suspension order of Rajinder Katoch has been issued with a malafide intension on and subjective motive due to his legitimate trade union activities as he is working in the larger interest of department and its employees and raise his voice against the acts of omission and commission of vested interests. The corrupt officers instead of working in the interest of department are trying to gage the voice of the union and step of suspension of Rajinder Katoch is nothing but to demoralize the leaders of the coordination committee who are exposing the corrupt officers. The speakers criticized the action of Er. B.K. Dhawan who mislead the higher officers and concealed the facts of the case with ill intension and highly ulterior motive and demanded high level inquiry of whole episode and demanded immediate removal of the Executive Engineer  as be is misusing his official power. The Dharna further decided to expose this corrupt officer by all means. Regular protests will be held and warn that if the suspension orders will not be revoked immediately the union will burn the effigy of corrupt officers besides intensifying its agitation.
