Chandigarh 18th November:-The Department of Home Science in collaboration with Pidilite Industries organized a 2 day long workshop on 'Creating Innovative Name Plates and Photo Frames.' The workshop was conducted by Ms. Sashi Guleria, a representative from Pidilite who has a vast experience in conducting such workshops with students from across the tricity. The students refurbished waste items of everyday use into mesmerizing works of art. Awe-inspiring work on the frames and eloquent calligraphy on the name plates by the students of MCM was praised by the organizers. Ms Sashi commended their enthusiasm and motivated them to partake in such inventive exercises.
In another event, the Department of Computer Science and Applications of the college in collaboration with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Mohali organized hands- on workshop on 'Web Applications in VB.NET and ASP.NET.' A team of experts from the Institute comprising of Ms. Anita Budhiraja, Senior SSA, Sonia Suri, SSA, Rashmi Aggarwal, SA conducted the workshop to upgrade the skills of students in developing applications for web/ windows and provided them with hands-on practice in software development on Microsoft. NET framework.
The Principal of MCM, Dr. Puneet Bedi, applauded endeavor and said such diligent endeavours provide the students with a professional edge.
