Gurukul Vidyapeeth Organize Green Diwali Awareness Campaign:Students Disributes 1000 Saplings

Chandigarh 01st November: Gurukul Vidyapeeth Institute of Engineering & Technology, a prestigious educational Group in the region in association has taken an institution towards Corporate Social Responsibility for saving environment. To corroborate this diwali in a special way Management, staff and students of Gurukul Vidyapeeth Organized a Campaign of Green Diwali at Chandigarh. Student and staff members of Gurukul Vidyapeeth distributed almost 1000 saplings among people on this auspicious day.  A Muster event was organized from Sector 17 Plaza to some part of the Sector 17 to convey the message of Green Diwali to save environment as 125 Students and staff members  enthused  the general public through signage , Banners, pamphlets and strived people  to celebrate a Green Diwali.

On this occasion CA Manmohan Kumar Garg, Chairman, Gurukul Vidyapeeth mentioned about the efforts made by Gurukul Vidyapeeth to be a fruitful mark embracing environment and dedicated this event in memory of his mother Late Smt. Shanti Devi who initiated this campaign long back at Chandigarh in Sector -17 Plaza and said memories of the same would remain with us for year to come.  He Bestow people to adopt "Each One Plant One" approach on this holy festival. He stated that for a Healthy life a safe Diwali with saying no to crackers can make this day more promising. He also stated that Diwali must be celebrated by keeping our traditional ethics and moral values in mind. He also put light on the value of traditions in Human  life and stated that these ethics are inseparable part of our life. He encouraged the students & Staff members of the organization to take initiation regarding keeping the environment safe in each and every possible way present. He thanked the chief guest for his valuable time to this noble cause of celebrating Green Diwali. He strived people to be more responsible and talked about the importance of the earth for human beings .He added  failure to this catch at this time would   turn out to be late words for this generation to come. After all this is our home and it should remain a safe place to live for our future generation.

Mr. Ramanjeet Singh Additional Director Academic & Personnal said that this task of Green Diwali can be completed through such campaigns and it should be seriously taken care of by all of us. He also stated that in saving this environment, there are miles to go to mike this earth a better place to live. He stated that each one among us should exchange plants as gift on this auspicious Day.
