DC Mohali Inagurates Healthy Youth for A Healthy World Programme

Mohali 13th November: -- Health Care Generation Savior Organization in association with Khalsa College Mohali flagged the two days program on the 'Healthy Youth for a Healthy occasion of children's day. Generation Savior Association has been putting its constant efforts to control Tobacco use and other such ailments in youth.

 Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu graced the occasion as the chief guest. The program was commenced with lighting of the lamp. He appreciated all attempts done by Generation Savior Association in order to control Tobacco and other ailments. Dr. Rajnider Kaur Dhindsa welcomed Deputy Commissioner Mohali and introduced every member with him. Adv. Amiteshwar Kaur, President Generation Savior Association, ex-counselor and member Dist Tobacco control cell, Mohali presided over the event, while Various schools from Dist. Mohali Participated in competitions like on the spot painting, poster making on the spot photography, slogan writing, banner making, collage making, chatty painting and other health competitions. The theme for all these competitions was Tobacco, alcohol, drugs and HIV positive control health care and road and traffic sense. A great enthusiasm was witnessed among the students who participated in the competitions.

 Adv. Amitishwar kaur, President Generation Savior Association added that a baby show, fancy dress competitions, chatti race, three leg race, kite flying will be organized on 14th Nov 2013 along with the presentation and a cultural program. Dr. Harish Kummari, principal Khalsa College, Mohali, Madam Chanderkanta Laxmi, Mrs. Surjit Kaur, Sh. Vipan Bajaj and Mrs. Avinash Kaur were present at the occasion.
