Chandigarh 13th October:--- On the demand for re instating of two officers of the local government, the Punjab fire services officers association staged a demonstration in front of the head office of the local Government in Chandigarh on Monday. The association handed over the memorandum to the Secretary local Government in this regard.
According to the chairman of the association both the officers have been suspended on the basis of a bogus affidavit of a most corrupt officer Shyamlal Kamboj. Both the officers are the most honest and hardcore hard workers. Unfortunately without enquiring the facts and without any notice both the innocent officers have been suspended by the Local Government minister Hon'ble Anil Joshi. Injustice done to both the simplest peoples.
On the other hand the complainant himself is of shady character. He is facing serious charges of corruption. While posting at Mohali he misplaced files of his wrong deeds. In the recruitment of the firemen at Mohali he appointed his many relatives by charging under table money. During his Mohali tenure he misused Rs. 10 lacks on the basis of purchasing vehicles. The enquiry of this case is still pending. He is also facing the very serious charges of given clean chits to 90 buildings at Ludhiana for all fire safety equipments installation by taking bribe. He is also facing the charges of embezzlement of Rs 14 lacks during his Pathankot posting. This is a well known allegation against him is of charging money by producing fake maintenance of vehicles and the petrol and diesel. The association demanded a high level enquiry against Shyam Lal Kamboj and the re-in station of both the suspension with immediate effect. He said the association will continue its struggle till there demand not fulfill.
