Chandigarh 07th October: --- A PGI team examined elderly patients at Ashiana Public School under the guidance of Prof. N.K. Panda (Head, Department of ENT) and Prof. Amod Gupta (Head, Department of Ophthalmology). Dr. Dharam Vir, Dr. Darwin, Dr. Rico, Dr. Roshni, Dr. Shruti came from ENT Department & Dr. Rohit Gupta, Dr. Faisal, Dr.Jatinder from Eye Deparment.
Sixty-five elderly patients were examined in Ashiana Public School and assessed for audiometry and speech and language assessment. The latest Impedance Audiometric Test was performed on the elderly patients. 40 patients were having sloping hearing loss, 15 patients were suffering from Reflux problem. 2 people were having vocal nodules problem also and few patients were having hoarseness of voice. 10 patients were having sinusitis problem. Amongst these one patient was suspected to have cancer.
