MCM Organise Interactive Sessions And Presentations on Food Science

Chandigarh 03rd October: --- To promote empirical learning amongst its
students, the Department of Microbial and Food Technology, MCM College
Chandigarh undertook a unique project. During the project Interactive
sessions and presentations on various topics of food science and
training presentations given by students.

The students received a month long training at various prestigious
organizations and presented in the presence of these dignitaries. The
experts lauded the vision and knowledge of the students.

Ms. Mamta, Deputy Director, Export Inspection Council, Pune; Ms.
Sukhmani Kaur Chahal, System support Ludhiana Beverages Pvt. Ltd (Coca
Cola) ; Dr. Baljinder Singh Gill, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology
Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Dr. Naveen Gupta,
Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Dr.
Swaranjit Singh, Sr. Principal Scientist at IMTECH, Chandigarh have
visited the college campus and deliberated upon numerous topics such
as Food Safety regularity in India, Introduction to the Coca Cola
Company, Biodiesels, Role of Enzymes in Food industry, Bio surfactants
and their application etc.

The Principal of the College, Dr. Puneet Bedi said that such diligent
endeavors are a source of great learning and encourage research based
and pragmatic learning among the students.
