Chandigarh to the Wagah Border on iconic Bullet 500 motorcycles: 5 Royal Enfield riders Taking Part in The Rally

Chandigarh 13th July:--A Bullet 500 motorcycles Rally of five member contingent was flagged off Today from Chandigarh for a journey to the Indo-Pak border at Wagah. Five Royal Enfield riders will first reach Amritsar and then head to the Wagah Border to witness the 'Change of Guards' ceremony and will be back to Chandigarh on the evening of July 14. The Five Royal Enfield riders are Abhishek Joshi, Siddhant Walia, Abhishek Rai from New Delhi; Tarbrinder Singh  from  Amritsar and Tarun Chawla  from Noida. 

According to the official of the Royal Enfield that apart from witnessing the spectacular 'Change of Guards' ceremony at the Wagah border, the riders will also get the opportunity to visit the Jalianwalan Bagh and the Golden Temple in Amritsar along with some war memorials before they return to Chandigarh on the eve of the Indian Armed Forces' victory in Operation Vijay in Kargil in 1999

While giving detail about the riders selections Royal Enfield, official clarify that the riders were selected after an online contest where the participants had to suggest an appropriate ending to the Bullet 500 graphic novel.  The graphic novel traces the life of a young man who was impressed by the vintage Bullet 500 owned by his grandfather who was a retired Army Officer. The young protagonist taking inspiration grows up to join the Army. This graphic novel illustrates his journey through a story as he finds himself face to face with the Bullet 500 in its new avatar and associates with the same. His adventures on the Bullet 500 lead him into a situation where the story reaches a pinnacle crossroad where the contest was thrown open to people to find a logical end to his story and the most befitting end would then get selected and end up and the last chapter of this story eventually getting published on the website in continuation of the graphic novel.The contest was promoted extensively on Facebook and Twitter. These 5 riders were selected to experience the thrill and aura of the Bullet 500 and the life of the protagonist through this ride to Wagah.

 Speaking on the contest, Shaji Koshy, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Royal Enfield, said that The Bullet has been an iconic motorcycle in the Royal Enfield portfolio.  We recently launched the Bullet 500 in a new Forest Green colour taking inspiration from Indian Army's olive green colour. The graphic novel contest and the ride to Wagah border and other areas of military significance attempts to bring to the fore the same spirit of national pride that has long been the essence of the Bullet.
