Mohali 12th July:-- The Punjab Government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to further upgrade the infrastructure and quality of education in the Government Schools in the state. In this regard a high level meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Sikander Singh Maluka, Education Minister Punjab.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesman said that DEOs of various districts was present in the meeting. The Minister invited the suggestions from the officers in the direction of up scaling of the quality of education in agreeable environment. Participating in the discussion DEOs put forward several recommendations. They also apprised the minister about the hurdles and bottlenecks they have been facing imparting education. The Minister assured the officers that there would not be any scarcity of infrastructure, education material and requisite teachers in any schools.
The issue of merger of primary schools was also discussed in the meeting. Sikander Singh Maluka instructed the officers to take every aspect into consideration besides visualizing the hurdles and efforts for reaching at consensus before taking such kind of decisions. Sikander Singh Maluka also instructed the officers that the teachers be transferred according to the transfer policy in transparent manner.
Prominent among other who were present in the meeting included Mrs. Aanjali Bhawara, Principal Secretary School Education, Gurdeep Singh, Additional Secretary, Kamal Garg, DPI (Secondary), Mrs. Parmpal Kaur, Additional State Project Director, Mrs. Darshan Kaur, DPI (Elementary), Circle Education Officer Nabha and DEOs.
