H.S. Lucky Slams BJP for Insulting Indian Army

By 121 News
Chandigarh, May 16, 2025:--Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee President, H.S. Lucky, today strongly condemned the repeated attempts by BJP leaders to politicize and undermine the honour of the Indian Armed Forces. In a sharp statement, Lucky criticized the recent remarks made by a Madhya Pradesh Minister and followed by an even more obnoxious statement from the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Lucky said that this is not the first time BJP leaders have stooped to such levels. First, a minister from Madhya Pradesh Vijay shah made an insulting comment about colonel Sofia Qureshi, and now the Deputy CM Jagdish deora has followed suit with an even more disgraceful remark against armed forces. This pattern shows a deliberate attempt to politicize the sacrifices of our armed forces for the sake of credit-seeking and vote-bank politics.

The Congress leader accused the BJP of trying to usurp credit of
the valour of the Indian Army to divert attention from its failures. He added that the Army belongs to the nation, not to any political party. By making such statements, BJP leaders are not only demeaning the soldiers' bravery but are also undermining the dignity of national institutions.

Lucky called upon the Prime Minister and BJP leadership to take immediate action against those making such inflammatory statements and demanded an apology to the nation and the armed forces.

He said that the people of India will not tolerate these attempts to insult our Jawans. The BJP must remember that patriotism is shown through action, not propaganda.
