Chandigarh, Jan.04, 2025:-This Monday, Sony Entertainment Television's popular knowledge-based game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, will introduce viewers to contestant Kaushalendra Pratap Singh from Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Kaushalendra, who serves as a mediator between the government and coal buyers, has a fascinating story to share with the legendary host, Amitabh Bachchan.
During his time on the hot seat, Kaushalendra recalled an intriguing moment, said that speaking of coal, he remembers that you shot for Kala Patthar after the Jharia Chasnala disaster, an incident that still resonates with many. He went on to explain that the incident occurred due to a dam burst, and during the shooting, contaminated water was sprayed on Amitabh Bachchan, adversely affecting his health. Despite this, Bachchan continued filming without taking a break, demonstrating extraordinary dedication and resilience.
Kaushalendra then shared that Amitabh's father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, had written about this incident in a book. The book mentioned an interesting habit that AB practices, he always faced north while eating. This practice was linked to the Mahabharata, which says, "One who eats facing north attains the truth." Harivansh Rai Bachchan had beautifully written, "I think I need truth, and Amitabh needs longevity." And Harivansh Rai ji had suggested that if Amitabh sat in his place while eating, they might both benefit from an exchange of truth and longevity.
In response, Amitabh Bachchan had gently declined, saying, "No, if I have to choose between truth and longevity, I would not want to gain longevity at the cost of truth.
Amitabh concluded the conversation with a touching memory, saying, "Our dining table at home was round. When I sat, I faced the north, while Babuji sat facing the east." He also recalled that his father had then told him, "Aap aayushman ho, hamare liye itna hi kaafi hai.
