Lawrence Public School, Sector 51 students have made their mark at the prestigious CBSE Cluster Athletics Championships held in Sector-7, Chandigarh, bringing home a remarkable tally of medals across multiple categories. Under the guidance of their dedicated coaches, the school's athletes demonstrated outstanding skill, determination, and sportsmanship, making the entire school community proud.
In the U-14 Girls category, Supreet Kaur clinched one Gold and one Silver medal, while the relay team secured Silver in the 4x100m relay. Harseerat Kaur competing in the U-17 Girls category, won Gold in the Javelin Throw, with the relay team securing Bronze in the 4x400m relay. In the U-19 Girls category, Arshpreet Singh won 2 Gold medals, Sneha earned one Gold and one Silver, and Dashpreet achieved Gold in the Javelin Throw. The U-19 Girls relay team also triumphed with Gold in the 4x100m and Silver in the 4x400m races.
The boys' teams also showcased remarkable performances. In the U-17 Boys category, Gurman secured one Gold and one Silver medal, Navrajveer won Gold in Javelin Throw, and Jaskaran earned Bronze in the 100m race. Gurkirat added a Bronze in Discus Throw, and the U-17 Boys relay teams won Silver in both the 4x100m and 4x400m events. In the U-19 Boys category, Sahibjeet Singh won Gold in Shot Put, while Sukhmanjeet Singh secured Bronze in Discus Throw.
Principal Veena Malhotra expressed her pride in the students' achievements, said that these outstanding results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and coaches. Their success not only brings pride to our school but also reinforces the importance of perseverance and teamwork in sports.
