Chandigarh Sept. 07, 2021:- The Philosophy Department of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised a PowerPoint Presentation Competition on "Works and Life of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan". The competition was held to mark the birthday of the country's former President, scholar and philosopher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which is observed as Teachers' Day. Held in blended mode i.e. both offline and online, the competition witnessed enthusiastic response from the students. The insightful presentations of the participants described various aspects of Dr. Radhakrishnan's life including his education, career, political career, and works in field of philosophy, role in constituent assembly and his famous works.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative of the Philosophy Department to educate students about the exemplary personality that Dr. Radhakrishnan was. She added that despite all his accomplishments and contributions, Dr. Radhakrishnan remained a teacher throughout his life as he firmly believed in the role of teachers as nation builders.
