Chandigarh Sept.17, 2020:- In honour of the grandparents, Desh Bhagat Global School, Mandi Gobindgarh, celebrated the grandparent's day online. The students made attractive and colourful cards for their grandparents, recited poems and danced to the tunes of various songs. A tag of appreciation was given to each grandparent and online games were organized for them.
Dr.Zora Singh, Chairman, underlined the importance of the day and the invaluable relation the children share with their grandparents. He said that every generation makes better friends with the grandparents because they are the greatest storytellers, the founders of love and the keepers of the traditions. The role of grandparents is of utmost importance to the children because children require guidance and sympathy more than instructions.
Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Chairperson, Desh Bhagat Global School said that with the shrinking size of families, grandparents are often missed by the children. It is vital to sensitize kids about the role of grandparents in one's life and teach them about respecting and taking care of them in their old age.
The day filled with fun and frolic was appreciated by the elder lies who profusely enjoyed with their little ones.
