DLSA organizes Seminar on Anti-Drugs in Govt High School Hallomajra

Chandigarh 25th July:- In order to ensure effective implementation of NALSA (Legal Services to the Victims Of Drug Abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace Scheme) 2015, the District Legal Services Authority organized a seminar on Anti-Drugs in Government High School, Hallomajra, U.T. Balbir Singh, District and Session Judge-cum- Chairman DLSA, U.T. inaugurated First Anti-Drug Club in the school premises so that the students become role models and make their colleagues aware of ill effects of Drugs. The Learned District and Session Judge mentioned that there is phenomenal rise in Drug Trafficking and Drug abuse amongst youth, children and adolescents which has serious implication, adversely effecting National health and economy. Curbing it is the highest priority.

The students participated in a drawing competition and the winners were appreciated by Certificate of appreciation.  Amarinder Sharma, CJM-cum-Secretary DLSA, U.T. Chandigarh, further informed that Drugs have spread their dreaded tentacles on innocent children, adolescents and youth and therefore, it is required to buckle up and work towards eradication of this menace. He further, elaborated on NALSA scheme and stressed upon the need of Drugs Free Society. Dr. Mishra, Nodal Officer, Members of Alcohol Anonymous and District Education Officer also attended the event.
