Chandigarh 01st April:- Narrating an untold tale of the Devadasi community, Colors launched Krishndasi on January 25, 2016, a show that traces the story of three generations belonging to the Devadasi lineage- Kumudini (Indira Krishnan), Tulsi (Chhavi Mittal) and Aradhya (Sana Amin Sheikh). Krishndasi is a story of today's time and era where Aradhya belongs and how she discovers her own identity as she moves ahead in life. Backed by a strong concept and riveting storyline, the show is high on drama with elements of love, mystery, struggle and self-discovery. The show's lead women Sana Amin Sheikh and Indira Krishnan visited Chandigarh today to meet and greet the fans and won over their love. Krishndasi airs every Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm on COLORS.
While traditions might have changed, the way they impact women remains the same and with Krishndasi, we have delved deeper into the unknown story of women of God with Aradhya's life story. As Aradhya grows up to become an independent girl with a modern outlook struggling to find her identity, she strives for one thing the truth about her father. Her life takes a turn for the better when she crosses path with Aryan (Shravan Reddy), grandson of Kumudini's arch nemesis Pradyuman (Uday Tikekar). As the story unfolds, Aradhya realizes that someone is on the warpath with the aim to ruin Aryan's sisterGayatri's life and decides to trace the person responsible. But to her dismay, Aradhya finds out that while it is Devesh who is the main culprit, it's her grand-mother Kumudini who is the mastermind behind the plan.
While Aradhya is on a mission to stop Gayatri and Devesh's wedding, Kumudini does everything possible to stop Aradhya from getting to the marriage venue. When Aradhya confronts Kumudini, she refutes all allegations and tries to prove her innocence. But what transpires between them after this, is a strained relationship that pulls them apart.
Commenting on the show and visiting Chandigarh, Sana Amin Sheikh aka Aradhya said that ever since the story was first narrated to her, she had been enraptured by the concept of Krishndasi. The acceptance and support of the viewer's towards a sensitive topic like the Devadasi system creates a sense of achievement and motivates her to push the boundaries of Aradhya's character. This is her first visit to Chandigarh and she want to thank all her viewers and admirers here for showering us with their love and appreciation.

Being in Chandigarh, today, and interacting with viewers has given us great insights into how well-received the show's plot has been. As the story continues, Krishndasi will witness Gayatri and Devesh's marriage hitting rock bottom as Devesh abandons Gayatri and refuses to accept her as his wife. Disheartened, Gayatri will reach out to Aradhya for help, and she will offer Gayatri to live with her. Kumudini, on the other hand, will continue her evil plots against Gayatri, who will end up consuming a large dose of bhaang during the Holi celebrations,. Aradhya and Aryan will further realize that the key to ending the feud between their families lies in their own hands. With this thought, they decide to switch homes and live with each other's families. What will happen when Aradhya and Aryan set out on their mission. Will Kumudini and Pradyuman's hearts melt. Will they accept Aryan and Aradhya into their families?
Along with the aforementioned cast, Krishndasi will bring together popular television faces like Uday Tikekar as Pradyuman (Aryan's grandfather), Jiten Lalwani as Shashwat (Aryan's Father), Shweta Mahadik as Pavitra (Aryan's Mother), and Tasha Kapoor as Gayatri (Aryan's sister) among others.
