Chandigarh 15th December:- Kuldeep Singh Ghuman, former General Secretary of the HP Kisan Sabha and former CPM State Secretariat Member died at the age of 75 years at PGI , Chandigarh yesterday . Kuldeep Singh Ghuman was not keeping well from quite past time. Hailing from Kapurthala distt in Punjab, Kuldeep Singh Ghuman was settled in Kumarhatti in Solan district. He had spent most of his life time in Himachal doing social service.
He had done many studies on HP farmers including an intensive study on the plight of those farmers who hold meagre landholdings in the state in 2001. Recently he had written his maiden book, India's Political and Social History.
The cremation was held at Chandigarh today , which was, among others, attended by Rakesh Singha , ex-MLA and State Secretariat Member, CPM , Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar , President, Himachal Kisan Sabha , Mohar Singh, former CPM State Secretary and Ganesham Kaushal , Secretary of Solan Distt Committee of CPM.
