CBSE Workshop on CCE:112 Teachers From Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Attend The Workshop

Mohali 12th November: -- CBSE workshop on CCE was conducted in Lawrence School Mohali. As many as 112 teachers from various schools of Punjab, Haryana & Himachal attended the workshop.

While welcoming the teachers and resource persons, Principal Veena Malhotra  said that  CCE, ( Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) is a commendable approach to holistic evaluation of  students .The CCE approach emphasizes the importance of assessing learning as a continuous process. It also focuses on the development and assessment of a range of Life Skills that are relevant for today's world. On the one hand, teachers should be equipped with the necessary understanding and skills on the other hand they should be Comfortable & Such workshops always prove fruitful

Ms. Aruna Bhardwaj & Ms. Deepa Dogra resource persons from CBSE were   responsible for co-ordinating innovative reforms such as the implementation of CCE, the Monitoring and Mentoring Scheme, the Strategic Leadership Development Programme etc. Apart from this, there were many teacher based activities to present topics given to them. Questions on assessment and teaching methodology of teachers were also clarified.

According to resource persons FAs should be based on activities conducted in the classroom by the teacher to reduce stress amongst the students. The importance of language for the acquisition of knowledge and for the thinking process generally was also emphasized. Developing the rubrics for every task was also stressed at the moment. It was suggested that teacher's sit together to plan projects and activities, as teaching in isolation does not yield the optimal result. Reforms were also explained at the moment.
