Mohali, 14th July:--The Quest Group of Institutions today concluded its 5 days Faculty Development Program on "Re-modeling Technical Education for creating Futuristic Human Capital". In which nearly 40 faculty members from various colleges from vicinity participated. The main motive of this FDP was to provide an environment, where the students get ample opportunities to hone the skills as for being globally successful in career is not simply about academic knowledge but other factors like special skills development, Strong Communication, Ability to adapt quickly, Problem solving, Practical proficiency and Social awareness etc. are also paramount.
While distributing the certificates Chief Guest Mohanbir Singh Sidhu, Additional Director Technical Education Punjab said that the biggest challenge for the faculty faces today is to keep abreast with changing technologies & techniques. The faculty must make the students aware about their goals & inculcate in them the value of resources which their parents have invested in them.
The Chairman of Quest Group D.S.Sekhon emphasized on the call for of Quality output of students, which could only be possible if the input in the form of teacher trainings is effectual & gratifying. The focus of this FDP was to hone and improve the teaching quality of the faculty, who can in turn produce educated employable youth. Finally, he concluded by saying that the faculty must analyse their indusial goals , set standards, raise their level of teaching, so that the level of education is raised, with the aid of these FDPs.
