Vigilance Awareness Week to be observed from 27th October till 2nd November

Chandigarh Oct. 27, 2020:- A pledge taking ceremony regarding the observance of Vigilance Awareness week from 27th October to 2nd November, 2020 was held at U.T Secretariat today with the theme "Sarthak Bharat,Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India,Prosperous India)".

Sh.Manoj Parida, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator administered oath to the employees of U.T Secretariat in the presence of senior officers of Chandigarh Administration.

The Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week every year is to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of, and the fight against corruption besides raising public awareness regarding the existence, causes, gravity of and the threat posed by the menace.

During the present year, the main focus is on improvement of internal processes and activities. Apart from this, Systemic improvements would be carried out to improve the delivery of public services in all organisations. Training and capacity building of staff is an important component supporting this objective.

The Central Vigilance Commission has appealed to all citizens to actively work towards –promotion of integrity in all aspects of life of life for the progress of the country.
