Bharatiya Janata Party Protest Against the Murderous Attack on Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma

Chandigarh Oct. 13, 2020:- Bharatiya Janata Party workers under the leadership of state President Arun Sood protested fiercely against the murderous attack on Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma. Party workers gathered at the BJP office 'Kamalam' and started a march to gherao Punjab Congress office situated in Sector 15 Chandigarh. Party workers also carried placards in their hands written against the Congress-ruled Punjab government.   BJP workers were stopped by the Chandigarh Police at the plaza of 20-21-33-37 where the party activists sat on Dharna for around one hour and raised slogans against Congress party and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh.

Addressing party workers, BJP President Arun Sood said that Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party President Ashwani Sharma was attacked by Congress party goons, which is highly reprehensible. Taking a dig at the Congress government for this cowardly act, he said that the Congress government is trying to provoke the farmers in Punjab by misleading the bills passed by the central government and the Bharatiya Janata Party through its public awareness campaign to the farmers of Punjab Is informing the truth. Panicked by the Jan Jagran campaign, the Congress government of Punjab has come down to cheap and cheap antics.

Arun Sood said that the Congress had said in its manifesto that the farmers of Punjab would be forgiven a debt of 90 thousand crores. Not only this, many more benefits will be given to the farmers, but for the last three and a half years, the farmers of Punjab are feeling cheated by the Congress. Arun Sood demanded from the Central Government that the Central Government be sacked with immediate effect.

Organizational General Secretary Dinesh Kumar said that the leaders of the Congress party were aware of their failure and are trying to silence the BJP leaders and spread fear in the public by taking the help of the goon elements to hide their gossip. He demanded immediate arrest of those who carried out the murderous attack on Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma.

BJP General Secretary Ramvir Bhatti said that the Congress government is trying to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab by misleading the farmers. Anti-nationalism is being talked about by including anarchic elements in farmers' demonstrations. He said that the farmer of Punjab is a donor and the creator of the Green Revolution and White Revolution in the country; he can never be an attacker. Reacting strongly to the attack on Ashwani Sharma, he said that if any BJP worker was harmed by the Captain Government, the party would not sit as a mute spectator and the brick would be answered with stone.

Organizational General Secretary of Punjab and Chandigarh Dinesh Kumar, Councilor Shakti Prakash Deoshali, Didar Singh Hallomajra, Councilor Gurpreet Singh Dhillon also spoke on the occasion. Asha Jaswal, Hukam Chand, Tejinder Singh Saran, Devi Singh Bhati, Gajendra Sharma, Gaurav Goyal, Jagtar Singh Dhillon, Rajinder Sharma, Munish Bhasin, Naresh Panchal, Ruby Gupta, Avtar Singh Manimajra, Mahendra Nirala were present in this performance.
