CGC Mohali Launches AICTE IDEA Lab with ₹1 Crore Funding
Mohali, March 1, 2025:-Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali Jhanjeri has achieved a significant milestone by securing ₹1 crore in funding under the prestigious AICTE IDEA (Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Academy) Scheme 2024-25. This funding will be used to establish a cutting-edge AICTE IDEA Lab on campus, providing students with access to advanced technology and mentorship to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
The AICTE IDEA Lab will serve as a hub of creativity and technological excellence, enabling students and faculty to explore and develop solutions in fields like robotics, AI, IoT, and 3D printing. The initiative aims to encourage hands-on learning, research, and real-world problem-solving in areas such as healthcare, sustainability, and agriculture. In collaboration with Venture Nest, CGC Mohali's incubator for student startups, the AICTE IDEA Lab will create an ecosystem that nurtures entrepreneurial talent. Students will receive mentorship from industry experts, helping them turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures.

Gian Jyoti Announces Scholarships for African Students
Mohali, March 01, 2025:-With an aim to promote world-class education and strengthen ties with African countries, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology Phase 2 has announced scholarships of up to 50% for African students taking admission in postgraduate programmes like MBA and MCA for the upcoming academic session.
This announcement was made by J.S. Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions, in the presence of Mrs. Jean Asantewah Kusi-Boadam, First Secretary, Counsellor and Welfare, High Commission of Ghana, New Delhi, and Mrs. Rukaliya Mustapha Aliyu, Second Secretary, E&M, High Commission of Nigeria. Appreciating this initiative, the guests described it as an important step towards strengthening educational ties between India and African countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman JS Bedi reiterated his commitment to world-class education and inclusion.
