Artillery Registers a Nail-Biting Win over Rajasthan Polo Club by 7-6.5

Chandigarh, Dec.04.2024:--The third day of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh trophy being organised by Indian Polo Association witnessed the most interesting match so far when Artillery registered a thrilling win over Rajasthan Polo Club by 7-6.5 at Chandigarh Polo Club, Khuda Lahora on Wednesday. Gunner Uday Kumar took advantage of the 15 yard penalty scoring for Artillery within half a minute of the play. Later, Havildar Irfan Khan strengthened the lead for Artillery leaving the scoreline one-sided at 4-1.5
Duo of Alan Shaun Michael (2 goals) and Shubham Gupta (2 goals) with four goals in the second round helped RPC to make a gradual comeback with 5-4.5 on the board.
Thereafter, Shubham scored a goal and the scoreline became 5.5-5 in RPC's favour in the second minute of the third and the final round. Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Narender Kumar dodged other riders and scored an exceptional goal to give his team again a slight lead. RPC once again dominated the scene with the brilliant backhanded goal from Shaun Michael. In the last moments of the match, Narender Kumar missed a 15-yard penalty but was well compensated within a few seconds which helped Artillery to seal the fixture by 7-6.5 in their side. Narender Kumar scored four goals for the winning side.
In the second match of the day, Army Service Corps outclassed Remount and Veterinary Corps (RVC) by 10-3.5. Naik Ravindra Mang and Sepoy Mukesh Gurjar scored two goals each in the scoreline of 4-1.1 in the first round. Gurjar scored three goals in the second round pushing the match to one-sided with a scoreline of 8-2.5. Match ended at 10-3.5 as ASC emerged victorious convingly. Lance Dafedar Satyaprakash scored three goals for the losing side.
Earlier, in yet another exciting match for Young Riders Cup Team Mohali defeated Charminar by 5-4. Uday Kumar scored three goals for the winning side while Mohd Faizal scored two for Charminar.
The league matches in both the categories will continue on Thursday.

They also leant how to dress to project an image of confidence and capability thereby creating the best impression in the minds of the interviewers which is the first basic step to obtaining a dream job.

Škoda Auto India Announces Value Pricing Across the Kylaq Range; Bookings Opens

Chandigarh, Dec. 2, 2024:-- Škoda Auto India's first-ever foray into the sub-4m SUV segment, the Kylaq, is now out with its entire range of variants and pricing. The Kylaq will come in four variant options - Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige. The SUV has a starting price of INR 7.89* lakh for the Kylaq Classic trim. The top-of-the-line Kylaq Prestige AT will be on sale at INR 14,40,000 lakh. Moreover, the first 33,333 customers will get a complimentary 3-year Standard Maintenance Package (SMP). Bookings for the Kylaq open today at 4pm with deliveries to begin on January 27, 2025. Kylaq has seen a great response already, with over 160,000 expressions of interest across Kylaq hand-raisers, Kylaq Club members and dealer enquiries.

Options galore
The Kylaq is available with a choice of two transmissions, four variants and seven colours at launch. It is powered by the high-performance, efficient and reliable 1.0 TSI engine, producing 85kW of power and 178Nm of torque, with the option of a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic. Customers can choose between four variants – Classic, Signature, Signature+ and the top-of-the-line Prestige. There are seven colours on offer – Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black and the Kylaq exclusive Olive Gold.
Classic value
Even with the Classic variant, which constitutes the entry point into the Kylaq and the Škoda family, customers get six airbags and over 25 active and passive safety features as standard. Safety like Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Electronic Stability Control, six airbags, tilt and reach adjustment for the steering wheel, head restraints and three-point seat belts for all five seats, electric mirrors, rear Park Distance Control, driver's dead pedal, automatic speed sensitive central locking, and full LED lighting are standard among other features.
Signature in detail
While the Classic is heavily equipped with safety and convenience, the Kylaq's Signature variant adds features like tyre pressure monitoring, Cruise Control, R16 Alloys, wired Android Auto and Apple Carplay, cooled glovebox, USB-C sockets, a 17.7cm (7-inch) Škoda Touch Infotainment System, Multifunctional Steering Wheel, adjustable rear AC vents and more.
Signature+ furthers value
The Signature+ offers nearly everything you'd expect from a top-of-the-line variant while offering the value of a mid-variant. The much sought after Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay is available in this variant, as is the 25.6cm (10.1-inch) Škoda Touch Infotainment System. This trim also offers the 20.32cm (8-inch) Virtual Cockpit for the driver. Also available are a rear-view camera, Climatronic climate control system, Automatic headlamps, Hill-Hold Control, a sustainable Bamboo-fibre infused dashboard pad, electrically folding exterior mirror with car-lock among others.
Prestige at the top
The top-of-the-line Prestige is the Kylaq for customers who want every feature in their SUV. This top-drawer variant of the Kylaq is equipped with an electric sunroof with anti-pinch technology, R17 dual tone alloy wheels, auto headlamps and wipers, LED foglamps with cornering function, Škoda Crystalline LED Projector Headlamps, Ambient Interior lighting in addition to other features. Like the first-in-segment six-way electrically adjustable front seats with seat ventilation. Also, while all variants from the Signature and up have the option of a six-speed torque converter automatic, the Prestige offers steering-mounted paddle-shifters for spontaneous manual gearshifts.
Segment-best ownership
In addition to this wide array of variants offering a balance of value and technology with no compromise on safety, the first 33,333 customers who book the Kylaq will receive a complimentary 3-year Standard Maintenance Package. This package effectively brings the maintenance cost of the Kylaq down to Rs 0.24 per kilometre making it the vehicle with the lowest maintenance cost in its segment.
In addition, the Kylaq also offers a 3-year/100,000kms whichever earlier, standard warranty. Along with this, Kylaq also offers six-year anti-corrosion warranty as standard across the range. This SUV, like the Kushaq and Slavia, is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. It was developed jointly by teams in India and the Czech Republic with an eye on low maintenance costs, while retaining Škoda's traditional qualities of dynamics and safety.

Chandigarh, Dec.02, 2024:--The Army Service Corps (ASC) and Rajasthan Polo Club won their inaugural matches on the opening day of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh National Polo Trophy being played at Chandigarh Polo Club, Khuda Lahora under the aegis of Indian Polo Association (IPA)
Army Service Corps (ACS) kicked off their campaign on a winning note when they outclassed Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club (HPRC) 8 - 4.5. Sepoy Mukesh Gurjar of Supply Corps, the top scorer with four excellent goals controlled the game for Services while Sepoy Ravinder Mang smashed three targets to the goal post. Major Qaramat Ali scored one goal. Salim Azmi managed three goals for the losing side.
Earlier, Rajasthan Polo Club (RPC) defeated host Chandigarh Polo Club (CPC) 12.5 - 4. Col Manoj Dewan gave Chandigarh a excellent start by scoring a goal in the very first minute of the play. Hosts faced a masive blow with the injury of their key rider Jitendra Singh in the same round. RPC made a comeback in the second round with the trio of Shubham Gupta, Alan Shaun Michael and Yuvraj Singh Ranawat At the end of the second round, RPS was in the commanding position with a score line of 9-3. Despite the best efforts of Dilpreet Singh Sidhu and Col Diwan, CPC lost the match 12.5 - 4 after the third and final round. Shubham Gupta scored the highest eight goals while Alan scored four. Col Diwan scored three goals for the losing side.
Season will witness the General Zorawar Singh Trophy matches for Young Riders scheduled on Tuesday. Host Chandigarh will take on neighbouring Panchkula in the opening encounter. Meanwhile Remount and Veterinary Corps will play against 61 Cavalry on the second day of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Trophy while Army Service Corps will lock horns against Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club.
