Malaika Arora Takes a Sweet Jibe at Geeta Kapur’s Super Dancer Team
But the competition will heat up as Remo D'Souza throws a unique challenge to the two rival teams: a Song Challenge. The twist? While the song is chosen by Remo, the choreography and a fresh interpretation of the song are entirely in the hands of the contestants. The results are nothing short of mind-blowing.
Vivek and Akina took to the stage with their powerful performance on the track "Bezubaan", bringing an unexpected twist by incorporating sand into their routine. Remo D'Souza, who is known for his innovative choreography, couldn't contain his admiration. Frankly speaking, when he saw sand at the start, he thought, 'Yeh toh har reality show mein aa hi jata hai,' but I had no idea you'd use it like this. Akina, you were Yudh Bhoomi and Vivek, you were Rakt (blood) and the way you combined those elements was simply beautiful! Beautiful thought, beautiful execution; the way you used sand, it was beyond imagination. When he saw the sand boiling on the beat, his hair stood on end. This is what a champion's tashaan is all about! If it's not like this, it's not worth it!.
Malaika Arora was equally impressed, adding that when you look at Akina, you wouldn't expect her to be able to do all of that, but it was amazing. She always feel super proud to be a part of India's Best Dancer family. Even Geeta Kapur, supporting the opposing team, couldn't hold back her admiration. Vivek, competition aside, come here. She said that she wants to give you a hug. She said that before continuing, Visually, this was so impactful. I want to apologize to my team, but this was truly a showstopper. Welcome to the biggest stage of dancing on Sony Entertainment Television.
Next up were Vaibhav and Pari, who took the challenge head-on with their quirky performance on "Chunariya Lehraayi". The duo, known for their playful energy, added a hilarious twist to the classic song, leaving the judges in splits. Remo D'Souza couldn't stop laughing after their performance and said that Vaibhav, you always think outside the box. She never imagined laughing while this song plays. She was just talking about Vivek's creativity, but you, you think in terms of comedy, superb! And Pari, your expressions were so sweet, and your steps were just brilliant. Making people laugh - that's an art.
Malaika, being the teekhi churi she is, said, that ut was this enough? She thinks you've also found a new way, Remo Sir ko makhan lagaane ka! Let's just be honest, jo IBD ne kiya hai, matlab who kabhi dekha hi nahi hai. Its first time on Indian television, a first time thought, first time execution …. So all of this should be taken into consideration.

Indian Nationals were the Largest Group to Receive UK Visas for Visit, Study and Work Categories in the Year ending June 2024: VFS Global
Chandigarh, November 13, 2024:--Indian nationals were the largest group to receive UK visas for Visit, Study and Work categories in the year ending June 2024, said HE Lindy Cameron CB OBE, British High Commissioner to India, at the inauguration of the new state-of-art UK visa application facility operated by VFS Global in Delhi on 12 November 2024.
UK visa customers from India will now enjoy a smoother process. At VFS Global UK Visa Application Centres (VACs), biometrics will be enrolled first, followed by document scanning for non-digital customers. This change reduces wait times and enhances service under the global UK visa services contract secured by VFS Global in December 2023. Many VACs have also relocated or upgraded to state-of-the-art facilities across India.
Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India said that the UK-India partnership is built on millions of personal connections, shared dreams, and collective aspirations. I'm delighted to launch the refurbished VFS Visa Application Centre for UK visa and passport applications in Delhi. We're introducing significant improvements in our visa services across India, further strengthening our already excellent visa offering for Indian nationals. The vast majority of Visit, Work and Study visa applications we receive are processed within 3 weeks and there are no caps on visa appointments."l
Matt Heath, Visits & ETA Network Deputy Director, UK Visas and Immigration, remarked that he is delighted to be here, in Delhi, to inaugurate this visa application centre, we extend our sincere thanks to VFS for their outstanding support in facilitating close to a million visa applications for Indian nationals in the recent year ending June 2024.
For the last two years, UKVI has consistently met our customer service standards, making visa decisions for visit, work or study routes within 15 working days for standard applications, 5 working days for priority applications, and an impressive 1 working day for super priority applicants. I'm pleased to report that VFS consistently offer biometric appointments for UK visa applicants within 5 working days. In fact, the current waiting time is a mere 1 to 2 working days. This is a testament to our commitment to providing swift and efficient services.
I'd also like to emphasise that UKVI does not cap appointments at the front end. We consistently have appointments available for customers at our visa application centres, ensuring flexibility and convenience for all applicants.
Looking ahead, the UK Government is moving towards a 'digital by default' immigration system by 2025, introducing eVisas to enhance the customer experience, deliver excellent value, and increase the security and efficiency of our immigration system. While we're excited about these innovations, we're also committed to ensuring the safety and security of all visa applicants. I urge everyone to stay vigilant against visa fraud. Remember, UKVI will never contact you through social media, ask for payment by email or into a personal bank account, or guarantee visa offers in exchange for payment to third parties."
Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer – South Asia, VFS Global said that we are deeply humbled by UKVI's continued faith and support and are excited to welcome travellers to the UK at this new facility. Our partnership with UKVI and the British High Commission has grown from strength to strength through our 21 years of association here in India, and their steadfast partnership encourages us to keep putting our best foot forward in providing UK visa services across our locations of operations.
VFS Global's UK Visa Application Centres in eight cities across India have relocated to new, larger premises – Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mysuru and Kochi.
Additionally, travellers can visit one of the 13 Premium Application Centres across India in Amritsar, Bhopal, Calicut, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Indore, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Mohali, Nasik, Noida, Shimla and Vizag. These centres provide additional optional touchpoints for customers looking for further comfort and convenience in their application process.
UKVI has also urged travellers to follow its official X (previously Twitter) handle @UKVIgovuk to be wary of scammers fleecing unsuspecting customers.

We have to Ensure Jobs for Youth to Deal with Problems of Drug Addiction and Lawlessness: Gulab Chand Kataria
By 121 News
Chandigarh, Nov.13, 2024:--Punjab is the only state that can fulfil India's dream of uniform development by 2047. When Punjab solved India's food shortage after the 1965 war, it not only solved the problem of our hunger but also fed other countries of the world," said Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria while addressing the valedictory session of 'Punjab Vision 2047", a two-day conclave organized by Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, International President of World Punjabi Organisation and Rajya Sabha MP, in association with the Punjab Development Commission and Panjab University, here today.
Talking about the issue of paddy straw burning and air pollution, Governor Kataria said we have to go beyond the law. He added that law cannot be the solution to curbing straw burning. When the gap to sow the next crop after harvesting is so short, how will the farmer clear the field? We have to think of a solution that is acceptable to all and also favourable to the environment. He said that likewise, we have to research on how to stop using agricultural chemicals without losing crop productivity.
While talking about the need for rejuvenation of Punjab's economy's, Gulab Chand Kataria said until the law and order problem was solved, investors would avoid coming to Punjab. He added that we have to think how to engage youth so anti-social elements are not able to misuse them. Educational institutes need to improve their training so they are able to stand on their own feet. Employment is a big solution to many issues including drug addiction.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Rajya Sabha MP and organiser of Punjab Vision 2047 conclave requested help of the Governor to solve certain issues related to Punjab. He said that reopening of Wagah border for trade can help Punjab send its products to Central Asia. Lack of international flights from Mohali and Amritsar is a deterrent to expansion of industry. We also need a minimum support price for crops other than wheat and paddy which can solve the farming and ecological crisis of Punjab.
Earlier in the day, Rajya Sabha MP, spiritual guru and environmental activist Balbir Singh Seechewal lamented the poor state of Punjab's ecology. He added that we call ourselves educated but our output can be seen in our river, air and land. When we were less literate, our environment was much safer," he said. Baba Seechewal also talked about the need for sewage treatment plants (STPs) to recycle and reuse sewage water. "The national green tribunal has already ordered fine on cities which are not treating its sewage. We have already shown how this can be done at low cost by establishing stabilisation ponds for sewage treatment in several villages. The water so treated is reused in irrigation of farms.
Talking about the pollution regulation system, former member of special task force for Buddha Darya Rejuvenation Project Col. Jasjit Singh Gill said we have to first deal with corruption within the Punjab Pollution Control Board and political interference in functioning of industries.
The session on fiscal prudence saw IAS Ajoy Kumar Sinha stressing on the need to spend the money taken on loan from the market in fields that lead to good returns instead of just on paying salaries.
Chiranjiv Singh, former chief secretary of Karnataka, said Punjab can learn a lot from Karnataka in terms of financial growth. He added that Karnataka already had a very impressive education system in the 1980s which offered the manpower that helped Bangalore become an IT hub. Punjab should focus on improving primary school education specifically.
On the issue of out migration of talent from Punjab, Daljeet Singh, chairman of AIPL Ltd, stressed on the need to focus on skill training in green energy which can generate new jobs for the youth. Amrit Singh, Director, Punjab Skill Development Mission, informed the gathering about the online portal that connects workforce with companies for employment opportunities.
