Chandigarh October 07, 2020:- The Research Cell of Desh Bhagat University, organized the Holy path of Sri Sukhmani Sahib to celebrate the Salana Jor Mela of Baba Buddha Ji.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, and Dr. Tejinder, Pro Chancellor, DBU, paid tribute to Baba Budha Singh Ji, narrated his life story and said that Baba Buddha ji has unique position in the Sikh history, he was the first Head Granthi of Shri Harimandir Sahib. He had been associated with six Sikh Gurus from Guru Nanak Dev ji to 06th Guru Hargobind Singh ji. He was the teacher of all the Guruss and performed the ceremony of bestowing Guru Gaddi to five Gurus. He gave training of Arms & Horse riding to the 6th Guru Hargobind Singh ji who adopted the policy of "Miri and Piri" and armed the Sikhs to fight against the Mughals.
They prayed to the almighty that the whole world should come out victorious in the fight against COVID-19
Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor, paid homage to the Guru, took blessings and asked everyone to adopt the teachings of Gurus in daily life.
Dr. Sandeep Singh, Vice President, Desh Bhagat University, paid homage to the Guru and took blessings.
The management, staff, and faculty members of Desh Bhagat University came forward to seek blessings from the almighty and wished for the good health of everyone.
