Chandigarh 21st December:---- A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the Case FIR No. 507 dated 19.12.2013 U/S 341, 354, 376, 376D, 34 IPC, and Section-6 of POCSO Act 2012 of PS-11, Chandigarh to ensure proper, timely and fair investigation of this case in the earliest possible time. SSP/UT will closely supervise the functioning of SIT constituted for the above purpose.The team comprises of Ashish Kapoor, SDPO/Central, Kamla Meena, DSP/W & CSU, Harjit Kaur, SHO/PS-3, Insp. Malkiat Singh, SHO/PS-11, SI Usha Rani, I/C PP-PGI.
On the other hand, today a groups of Political parties as BJP headed by Sanjay Tandon and Smt. Heera Negi, Congress headed by H.S. Lucky and Devinder Babla and BSP headed by Jannat Jahan and Haffiz Anwar met with SSP/UT and SSP/Operations who appraised them regarding the fair investigation of case and measures taken against the accused persons on purely merit basis.
