PGI's NSS Camp Concludes

Chandigarh 21st December:---- A Seven Days NSS camp organized by NSS unit of NINE, PGI, Chandigarh at village Sarangpur, UT, Chandigarh concluded with enthusiasm and zeal.  During the camp the volunteers participated in the various activities like Self Defence Training by the constable Mr. Sanjay and lady constable Ms. Pooja, Meditation, Laughter Therapy, Stress Management, Health  Awareness Campaign, Planting of saplings and shrubs under the supervision of programmee officers Mrs. Meenakshi Agnihotri and Dr. (Mrs) Sukhjit Kaur alongwith Mrs. Shabana Parveen.  On 20th December 2013, valedictory function was organized at Rural Health Center, village Sarangpur in the presence of Mr. Bikram Rana, State Liaison Officer, NSS, Dr. (Mrs) Karobi Das (Officiating Principal), Faculty and staff of NINE and Sarpanch Sardar Sadhu Singh and panchs and other villagers.  A cultural programmee was organized by the volunteers and students of Govt. High School, Village Sarangpur.  Mr. Bikram Rana congratulated the students for organizing the camp.  He encouraged the volunteers to apply their knowledge to serve the community.  Sardar Sadhu Singh, Sarpanch of the village addressed to the NSS Volunteers regarding poverty, un-employment, corruption in the country and encouraged the volunteers to serve the society with honesty.  .
