Mohali 04th August:-- Doon International School organized Investiture ceremony at its campus where Robin Singh and Anmol Ballagan (School Captains) got the prefectorial badges. Various house captains, hostel captains, and prefects were also selected and were honoured with the badges by School Management. Later, they took the pledge of honour. The occasion was graced by Colonel J S Cheema, the commanding officer of NCC unit and the Managing Director C.S Mann congratulated the badge holders and encouraged them to shoulder the responsibilities with loyalty truth and honour.
While speaking at the moment, School Principal Ms. Manjeet Madra inspired the students and encouraged them to excel in their future endeavors. Nurturing students to be future leaders she further added that change is the law of Nature. The old order yields place to the new. The quality of leadership must be reflected in the standards, they set for themselves. They have to be firm but approachable. While it is important for a leader to learn to agree to disagree, to be respected is far more important than to be liked. She also stressed on the broader vision of the teachers to nurture leadership qualities at a young age in school which would help the students to become great leaders of the future.
