Chandigarh 12th July:- The Lalit Hotel has become the most fashionable destination of tri-city for two days, the reason-- a host of 81 designers are showcasing their lifestyle, fashion and wedding products & services under one roof. This is the first such event at the newly constructed & commissioned Hotel. 'Doli' has been organized by 'A Million Dollar Affair', a company managed by three young women entrepreneurs – Ms. Neha Singla, Ms. Manpreet Kaur & Ms. Nidhi Chadha. A Two day Premium Wedding, Lifestyle & Fashion Exhibition, was formally opened by Ms. Sattinder Satti the famous Punjabi Anchor-Model-Actress, at The Lalit, in IT Park today.
After inaugurating the exhibition Sattinder Satti, said that she is very happy to be part of this exhibition, which is quite high on the glamour quotient. The interesting aspect about 'Doli' is that it has designers who have experimented and created designer wear for celebrities. Tri-city Divas will get a chance to get their hands on the latest trends. In fact my stylist Ms. Pankaj Thakur who owns the CKC brand in Ludhiana is also here."
The exhibition has a flavour of fashion in films and television– Fashion Designers who have created costumes & dresses for Bollywood, Pollywood & Tellywood have put up their stalls, which showcase designer Bridal, Formal, Semi Formal wear. Ms. Veena Nagda, who is popularly known as The Bollywood Mehndi Queen, has put up her 'Mehndi Studio' at Doli. Ms. Veena, said that the title Bollywood Mehndi Queen was given to her by renowned Bollywood Producer-Director, Karan Johar as her Work has featured in blockbusters like 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', 'Kal Ho Na Ho', 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani' etc. Her 'Mehndi' designs have been adorned by Stars like Kareena Kapoor, Krishma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Rani Mukherjee, Malaika Arora Khan .etc in films."
The exhibition is a true Wedding Showcase. Apart from Bridal Haute Couture there is everything a wedding shopper would like to buy for events before and after the nuptial knot is tied between two soul-mates. The Wedding section consists of Trousseau, Wedding Planners, Saloons, Gyms & Spa's, Venue - Resorts, Lingerie, Honeymoon Packages, Make Up - Cosmetics, Real Jewellery, Fashion Bridal Accessories, Premium Luxury Cars, DJ, Caterers, Wedding Invitation Cards - Boxes, Bollywood Mehndi, Sweets - Bakers with a complete collection of Daaj & Wari .etc.The Lifestyle segment has Formals, Semi Formals, Ethnics, Traditionals, Westerns, Casual wear and Apparels. Anjali Sharma who owns the brand Ujjayra is present with her collections. Anjali is known for having designed for Bollywood movies like Golmaal 3 and Mrs.& Mr. 420. A fresh change is being witnessed at the 'Neet' stall, a brand owned by Ravneet a Tellywood designer. Nivedita of Niveaz Ensembles: who has designed attires for Pollywood Movies, is also showcasing her dresses. Santushti has brought a refreshing jewellery range.
