Trident Stallions have made it to the semi-finals of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup. Team Stallions are fourth in the points table with 20 points. In the last league match, the team lost by 8 runs at the hands of Blasters, but it did not affect the team. They will again face the Blasters in the semi-finals.
Trident Stallions have had a stellar run in the Cup. The team has played 10 league matches so far and won 4 matches. The team definitely suffered defeat in 4 matches and two of their matches were canceled due to rain. The team has 20 points on its account. Out of the last four matches of the league round, Nehal Wadhera's team registered three wins and secured a place in the knockouts. His encounter with the Blasters is now possible. They have won 7 out of 10 matches and are leading the table with 28 points.
In the last league match, Trident bowled well and BLV Blasters could only manage 141/6 in 20 overs. Kunwar Pathak scored 42 and Prerit Dutta scored 39 runs. Shahbaz took 2 wickets for Trident, while Sahil Khan, Manav Vashisht, Gourav Choudhary and Aryaman Singh took 1-1 wickets. In reply, Trident Stallions batted well but fell short by 8 runs in the last over. After Nehal Wadhera's 27, Harshdeep's 24 and Salil Arora's 21 runs, the team could only manage 133/7 runs in 20 overs. Prerit Dutta took 3 wickets, while Krishan, Naman Dhir and Sameer Khan took 1-1 wickets.
