Chandigarh Nov. 01, 2021:- To mark the celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the Department of Political Science and the Debating Club of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised an inter-college online Declamation Contest as a tribute to the great visionary Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. The contest was held on the topic 'Is pluralism a threat to Indian unity?'. The contest witnessed enthusiastic response as students from across the country participated in it. The participants sent in their recorded videos expressing their views on the given topic in English, Hindi or Punjabi.
The first three winners and two consolation winners were awarded cash prizes.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava wished fellow countrymen on the birth anniversary of the great leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Exhorting the students and staff to live by the ideals of Sardar Patel, Dr. Bhargava motivated them to reaffirm commitment to strengthening the democratic fabric of our great nation.
